Hello beautiful soul ,
Welcome back to Inspiring the power of you blog ,where deep insight helps you in modern life ,
I have had a spiritual practice since I am like 18 years old .Yes I have fell off it at times but I always come back to it as it helps me in every area of my life .
A spiritual practice is like anything in life ,the more you do the more you will feel the benefit .
So how will you and your life benefit from having a Spiritual practice and what even is a spiritual practice ?
Everyone will have a different way but I will share mine and how it has helped .
I read and listen to spiritual teachers daily ,whether it is only for ten minutes a day, I do it .I also practice yoga daily but most definitely weekly ,What I love about yoga is the peace and alignment it brings to my mind ,my body and my spirit .A short class makes a huge difference in how I feel in the day and last but not least, I meditate, nearly everyday .Even just 5 minutes makes a huge impact on how I go about my day and part of the meditation is to remind myself about 3 things I am grateful for .Through making the effort do these simple but powerful acts I feel more spiritually connected to my inner self and I feel how it helps me in my life and through difficult circumstances .
What are 5 benefits I have from doing the work ?
#Less Reactive
The mind is a very reactive place .When I do my practices the ego is not as loud and because of that I am less reactive .I mean things still upset me do not get me wrong .Just because I have a spiritual practice does not mean I am above human emotions ,all it means is I do not get upset as much and I can let go of the situation quicker.That way of being, helps me deal in a more connected state .The ego is constantly trying to make life situations more than they are and when we can calm the ego we experience less pain ,less attack and more compassion towards ourself.
#Clarity
It helps me see life in a more loving way .Confusion is less and the knowing that everything is happening just as it should and with that, I can trust that something good will come even in the darkest of situations .There where times of course dark times have come and I can have felt that they would not end but doing the work helped me see the light .So now when dark times come I have clarity that light will always come and trusting that, I do not have to stay in a doubtful place but rise into a state of clarity .
#More inner peace
Doing the practices have created more inner peace .What I mean by inner peace is less attack on my worth ,I can love myself more ,I more compassion for myself and I do not need validation from the outside world or materials to feel good inside .I can sit with myself and know all is well and I am enough .
#I have more patience
I am able to be more in the now instead of worry about the future .I have more patience in that the things I want will come at the right time .Our power really comes from being present fully in the now and with that patience then comes naturally .
#More aligned with my true self
I feel that doing the work has helped me aligned with my true authentic self .There is nothing I am doing to impress anyone or pushing myself to do things that I do not want to do .I have no agenda only to be true to myself and know that the right people will be in my life .The more aligned I am ,I really do feel more joy and happiness and I think what ever we are doing in life this should be a goal we all try and reach .
